Installation is very simple. There is one valve for inflation, and since this board is not that long, I noticed it took only a few minutes to get it completely inflated.
The hand pump performs excellent buy my first time out I used my electric pump and set the PSI level to 11. 11 PSI is the suggested air pressure for this board.
11 PSI might not seem that high related to some other inflatable SUP’s that are capable of inflating to 15 to 17 PSI. But, I can assure you in all sincerity that at 11 PSI this board is totally rigid and robust and capable of supporting an enormous amount of weight with zero flex.
If you will be paddling in the flat water later you will require joining the center fin.
I’m not that fond of the fin attachment on Tower Adventurer 9'10" Inflatable Sup. It functioned just fine but compared to other fin attachments that I have seen; this is not my favorite.
The cause is because you have to use a hex screw to attach it. Though this makes for a very secure fit, it also a little part that is easy to lose.
When not in use you might want to put the fin and the hex screw in a zip lock pack for safe keeping.
I would suggest reading the instructions before attaching the fin just to make sure you do it appropriately.
It does take a bit of effort to get it installed correctly but once attached it can very solid.
Tracking with this board is only fair, but when speaking in the range of inflatable boards, it is not bad. The board has a 2 +1 fin form with a detachable center fin. Paddling up the wind can verify to be a little more difficult for the reason that of how high the inflatable board sits atop the water.
With that said, the additional 2 inches of thickness on the rail does save the board from sagging and sitting low in the water similar some other inflatable boards. This board not formed for speed and is better suited for the beginner or traveler.
This board has added stability matched to some of the other inflatable boards on the market. The Tower Adventurer has a large width of 32 inches which added 2 inches to the mediocre inflatable SUP on the market now. Tower inflatable sup has also added 2 inches of thickness to this board at 6 inches thick. This extra thickness helps to keep the board super rigid with essentially no sagging at all. Compared to a hard SUP, the Tower Adventurer 9’10” Inflatable Sup is just as stable as some narrower hard SUPs. Overall, any novice should have no trouble with the stability of this board.
